Marijuana Prohibited on all Ritenour Campuses and Grounds

The use of recreational marijuana for those 21 and older became legal in the state of Missouri under certain conditions following the passage of a constitutional amendment in 2022.

Ritenour remains an alcohol, drug and smoke-free environment.

The Ritenour School District continues to prohibit the possession, use and distribution of marijuana on any Ritenour School District property. Our Board of Education policy prohibits being under the influence of any drugs or alcohol on our school campuses or district buses.  The policy applies to all school-sponsored or school-approved activities, events, athletic activities and functions. It also applies to any outside groups who use Ritenour buildings for any purpose.

Students can face severe consequences for possessing or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Working together, we can keep our schools safe and our students and staff healthy.
